Detox
- DetoxificationThere are many forms of detoxification pending the length ofeach individuals time of using drugs or alcohol. Theevaluation process will be handled by qualified staff aswell as a certified medical physician. It is criticalthat an individual receive the best form of treatment duringthis time of detoxification. West Coast Recovery worksclosely with 3 different detox clinics which are highlysupervised and have well trained staff with in eachfacility. They are equipped with 24 hour on-site medicalstaff and supervision to assist in this process. This isachieved by prescribing the appropriate detox medications asdirected by the on-site physician.
- Length of detoxificationThe length of detox will be determined by each facilitythrough there clinical staff as well as there staffphysician. West Coast Recovery will not place any clientwith in our program with out the minimum of 72 hours ofsobriety. Detoxification usually lasts from 3-7 days and astaff physician completes a detailed medical history andhealth examination of each client. During this time theywill receive the appropriate treatment that will make theirwithdrawal from alcohol and drugs as comfortable aspossible.
- After DetoxificationAfter the completion of the detoxification process, ourintake coordinator will schedule a time through the detoxfacility to arrange for intake to West Coast Recovery. Atthis time a staff representative will be scheduled fortransportation from the detox facility to one of ourprogram’s.
